Subkontra is a collective of music enthusiasts whose common focus lies in the field of bass music and soundsystem culture. At our events we want to make this accessible to a broader audience next to the established scene. In addition to musical and artistic focal points, we also address political, ecological and social issues in the form of workshops, lectures and panels. We attach great importance to low-threshold access for our guests, both in terms of admission prices and active participation in our events. Through cooperation with artists, labels, crews and sound systems, we strive for international exchange and networking. Our goal is to push DIY-based subculture in its purest sense.
